Paddle For A Purpose: Sundays on the Kentucky River

Join Woods and Waters Land Trust for four Sundays in October as we paddle the length of the Lower Kentucky River. Each week, we’ll cover a new section of the river. Large limestone cliffs, rolling river fields, bald eagle nests and muskrat workings are some of the natural beauty you’ll experience here—plus historic bridges and communities. We will lock through 4 operational river locks. Paddlers of all experience levels are invited for these flat-water excursions.

All necessary equipment and shuttle services are provided. Refreshments and snack bags will be made available at each event, and community celebrations, live music, educational booths and more, will occur after the events in Frankfort and Carrollton. All proceeds go directly to the Woods and Waters Land Trust.

Bring your own canoe or kayak, or rent one from Paddle For A Purpose partner Canoe Kentucky. All proceeds go directly to the Woods and Waters Land Trust.
