Farm Walk with WWLT--Pond Exploration at West 6th Farm

Jessica Schuster will give participants a brief review of the different types of aquatic habitats and the types of organisms you might expect to find in them.  She will also talk a bit about water quality and its effects on aquatic habitats. Then, we'll dive in and look for fish, amphibians, and insects using seins and nets.

Jessica is an Environmental Scientist with 17 years of experience with the Kentucky Division of Water. She specializes in performing water quality studies in streams throughout the state, collect chemical, biological, and habitat data.

This free workshop will cap at 15 guests to create a fun and informative experience for all. Please wear appropriate shoes and attire for dirt, water, & mud, and plan to get wet. Bringing a water bottle is encouraged. There is no beer included on this free Farm walk. Sorry, but dogs not permitted on this workshop.
