Join Woods & Water Land Trust and Explore Kentucky for an evening of paddle boarding and nature discovery on the Kentucky River! Meet at 6:00pm at The Boathouse for a relaxed group float—perfect for paddlers of all levels.
New to paddling? No problem! Our friends at Explore Kentucky will help!
Don’t have your own gear? We’ve got a limited number of paddle boards and life jackets (PFDs) available to borrow, but feel free to bring your own. All paddle participants must wear a personal flotation device (PFD).
After the paddle, stick around as we celebrate National Moth Week. As the sun sets, we’ll set up special lights and white sheets to attract these nocturnal pollinators and marvel at the incredible diversity that flutters through the night. This family-friendly event is part of National Moth Week—a global citizen science project—and is a great opportunity to learn, observe, and contribute to community science by photographing and identifying moths using apps like iNaturalist—a magical way to connect with nature after dark.
Free and open to all. No RSVP needed—just pull up and paddle or simply come by for the moth lighting starting at 8:30 PM.
