Jeb is the Director of Financial Planning Services at Wilkerson Financial. Jeb is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (TM) professional with a passion for all things philanthropic. His favorite thing is helping clients build and define their legacy through strategic philanthropy.
Jeb is a life-long investor. His love of the markets began after the gift of a single share of Kellogg from one of his favorite uncles at age 12. While attending the University of Kentucky, he studied economics and in his spare time he obtained the Chartered Retirement Planning Consultant designation. After graduation, he worked as a financial advisor for Merrill Lynch and obtained his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (TM) designation. He also holds the Series 7, 63, and 65 licenses, as well as both life and health insurance licenses through Commonwealth Financial Network®.
After living away from Kentucky for several years, Jeb and his wife, Olivia, decided that it was time to return home. Jeb is from Olive Hill and Olivia is from Sturgis so they split the difference and settled on central Kentucky. They bought a home in South Frankfort after falling in love with the city’s history and walkable neighborhoods.
Giving back to his community is important to Jeb. To that end, he is involved with several local groups including the Kentucky Trust for Historic Preservation, the Franklin County Trust for Historic Preservation, Envision Franklin County, and Old Friends Thoroughbred Retirement Farm. He is also an Army Veteran; he was stationed in Monterey, California, where he studied Arabic at the Defense Language Institute.
Jeb is a voracious reader and according to his wife, a bit of a nerd. His free time generally involves studying. He’s currently pursuing the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy designation from the American College. If he’s not behind a book then you can usually find him outdoors. Jeb loves rock climbing and hiking in the Red River Gorge and golfing whenever he can find time to play a round.
Jeb Jarrell has been a Board member since 2017.
